CKX Philanthropy Fellowship

In partnership with Philanthropic Foundations Canada and several funding partners, the CKX Philanthropy Fellowship is a collaborative initiative to bring new perspectives and approaches to philanthropic practice and social change work in Canada.

This collaboration resulted in the appointment of two fellows with different perspectives on and experiences of philanthropy and social change work in Canada:

2018-2020 Fellow - Nadia Duguay

Nadia’s fellowship will explore how social change practices and approaches can be made more inclusive and also and to better understand the connections and tensions between philanthropy and social justice. This includes mapping systemic barriers to emancipation and inclusion and exploring how existing paradigms (funding, power, privilege) need to shift.

2017 Fellow - Michael Alberg-Seberich

Michael’s fellowship focused on bringing an international perspective to Canadian debates on philanthropic practice and sharing Canadian experiences more broadly with international philanthropic communities.
